MORTON - Alma J. Pilkington, 75, of Morton, passed away Thurs., Nov. 8, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Alma was born July 21, 1943, in Peoria, to John and Juanita (Gammon) Garrison. She married Phil on July 1, 1960 in Peoria.
Surviving are her husband of Morton; three daughters, Becky (Rick) Wilson of East Peoria, Deb (Kevin) Monge of Roanoke, and Kim (Brad) Woods of Morton; and one grandchild, Jordan Woods. She is also survived by one brother, Rick (Deb) Garrison; one niece, Gretchen (Nick) Uhlman; and great niece and nephew, Kinze and Brady Uhlman, all of Tremont.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Garrison.
Alma was a dedicated and loving homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She was an exceptional seamstress and also had a passion for making jewelry, crafting, and creating floral arrangements. Alma was fond of music and found great joy in writing songs. She always looked forward to singing at The Cliftwood in Morton, at Nashville North and at the Chateau in Pekin. Alma was also known for her love of dancing and always looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. She was especially grateful for the time she was able to spend with her grandparents in Mill Shoals, Ill.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
