MORTON - Beulah Rose Funk, 91, of Morton, passed away Sun., Dec. 2, 2018, at Morton Apostolic Restmor.
Beulah was born April 5, 1927, in Roanoke, Ill., to William E. and Kathryn (Pfister) Martin. She married Richard S. Rumbold on April 15, 1945, in Eureka, Ill. He preceded Beulah in death on Dec. 23, 1952. She then married Leo C. Funk on June 10, 1970, in Morton, who preceded her in death on March 9, 1999. Beulah was also preceded in death by one step-son, Merle Funk; two grandchildren, Becky and Ben Rumbold; five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Gary (Mary Kay) Rumbold of Morton; two daughters, Kayleen (Ronald) Heiniger of Normal and Debra (Dennis) Wells of East Peoria; two step-sons, Ross (Linda) Funk of Morton and Donald (Janet) Funk of Hudson, Ill.; two step-daughters, Donna (Bill) Cox of Freeport, Fla., and Roslyn (Steven) Hibbs of Gridley, Ill.; and one step-daughter-in-law, Jay Funk of Catonsville, Md. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren.
Beulah was a well-known caterer in Morton. She worked as a high school cafeteria manager and also worked in the parts department at Caterpillar, Inc., in Morton.
Beulah was a member of Morton Apostolic Christian Church.
She was a beloved mother and faithful in praying for her children and grandchildren. Beulah was always willing to help others.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thurs., Dec. 6, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Fri., Dec. 7, at Morton Apostolic Christian Church, with a funeral service following at 10 a.m. Ministers of the church will officiate. A graveside service will also take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at Gridley Cemetery in Gridley, IL.
Memorials may be made to Morton Apostolic Christian Church or to Apostolic Christian Restmor.
