Bradley Helmer

PEORIA – Bradley G. “Brad” Helmer, 63, of Peoria, formerly of Morton, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at his home.

He was born on November 30, 1958, in Joliet, Ill., to Chester and Alice (Blake) Helmer. He married Rebecca Tabor in Groveland, Ill., on July 31, 2004.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Helmer of Peoria; two step-daughters; four step-grandchildren; siblings, Lori Olsen and Martin (Wendy) Helmer, both of Morton; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Christine Michelson; and two brothers, Douglas and Brian.
Brad worked for Technical Solutions and Services in Peoria, retiring in 2020 as Technician Specialist.
He was a member of North Pekin Church of the Nazarene, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, with Rev. Ron Jansen officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. There will also be visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to North Pekin Church of the Nazarene or St. Jude Runner’s Association.
