MORTON – Dale F. Beck, 85, of Morton, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.

He was born on February 9, 1937 in Peoria, to William and Florence (Goetz) Beck. He married Barbara Aukland on November 27, 1960, in Wenona, Ill.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Beck of Morton; son, Dan (Jessica) Beck of Milton, Ga.; daughter, Beverly (Bill) Hungate of Sarasota, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Arianna, Clarissa and Caroline Beck, Matt (Michelle) Hungate and Aimee Hungate.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean.

Dale was a United States Air Force veteran.

He worked for 35 years for Hyster Co., retiring in 1999 as a plant manager and engineer.

Dale was an amateur inventor and also enjoyed wood working. He treasured the time he was able to spend with his family.

He was member of Zion Lutheran Church in Kewanee, Ill. and Advent Lutheran Church in Morton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Advent Lutheran Church in Morton, with Pastor John E. Rothfusz. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Advent Lutheran Church in Morton or a charity of the donor’s choice.
