David Young

MORTON – David M. Young, 62, formerly of Kirkwood, Mo., passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at his home in Morton.

He was born on March 21, 1958 in St. Louis, Mo., to Charles and Rosemary (Ruch) Young.

Surviving are his four children, Katherine Hays of Naples, Fla., Michael (Maggie) Young of Kirkwood, Mo., Trey Young of Morton; and Alison Young of East Peoria; his mother, Rosemary Young of Kirkwood, Mo.; two sisters, Barb Stephens and Sue (Harold) Wissmann, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Matt (Eileen) Young of Sioux City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Sofia, Ellie and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Young and Mark Young; and one brother-in-law, Thomas Stephens.

David was an avid golfer who liked his beer cold and his steak “charred, medium-rare.” He will be missed by those who knew him well.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
