GROVELAND – Donald C. “Donnie” Agles, 64, of Groveland, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.

He was born on November 4, 1956 in Edwardsville, Ill., to Marion and Mary (Erspamer) Agles.

Surviving are three brothers, Jim (Kelli) Agles of Cape Coral, Fla., Bob (Jackie) Agles of Tuscumbia, Mo., and Jerry (Debbi) Agles of Morton; one sister, Mary Jo Agles of Morton; nine nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Debbie) Middleton of Dunlap, Cora Middleton of Sausalito, Calif., Marsha (Scott) Yates Timme of Saint Charles, Mo., Brenda Yates of Granite City, Ill., Jim Agles of Tucson, Ariz., Kynse Agles of Fort Myers, Fla., Cheston Agles of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katie Travis of Bloomington, Ill., and Chelsea Richardson of Morton; and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Yates of Granite City, Ill.

He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Michael and Richard Agles; and two sisters, Juliann Agles-Yates and Marcia Agles.

Donnie had a career in concrete construction and had worked in Illinois, San Jose, Calif., and Las Vegas. He retired from Aupperle Construction in Morton.

Donnie loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting near his cabin in Browning, Ill. He had a love for classic cars and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Donnie was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and NASCAR.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Runners Association or Bird Gaunt IL Work Zone Safety Fund c/o Morton Community Bank, 721 W Jackson St., Morton, IL 61550.
