Dorothy Miller

MORTON – Dorothy B. Miller, 95, of Morton, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria.

She was born on May 31, 1926, in Tremont, Ill., to John and Lillian (Brunner) Oyer. She married Elwin Miller in East Peoria, Ill., on May 10, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Candace Strunk; one grandson; two brothers; and one sister.

Surviving are her children, William (Jan) Miller of Montana, John (Gail) Miller of Mackinaw, Kevin (Rose) Miller of California, Patricia (Robert) Edwards of Tennessee, and Kathleen (Richard) Craven of Morton; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Daniel (Sue) Strunk of Arizona.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, with Msgr. Gerald Ward officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorial may be made to the Kirk Edwards Foundation or OSF Richard L. Owen Hospice.
