MORTON - Ellen H. Freidinger, 86, of Morton, passed away Mon., Aug. 20, 2018 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Ellen was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Wüstenrot, Germany to Eugen and Gertrud (Schöllmann) Fischer. She married Lester Freidinger on Feb. 14, 1964 in Morton.
Surviving are her husband, Les of Morton; one son, Fritz (Cathy) Freidinger of Glenview, Ill.; one daughter, Inge (Steve) Flinn of East Peoria; and six grandchildren, Ellia and Andi Flinn, and Alex, Kate, John, and Ben Freidinger. She is also survived by one brother, Eckhard (Ingrid) Fischer and one sister-in-law, Annelore Fischer, all of Stuttgart, Germany.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Werner Fischer.
Les and the family would like to thank the staff of Apostolic Christian Restmor and OSF Hospice for their loving care.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., Aug. 23, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A funeral service will also be at the funeral home on Fri, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m., with a visitation held one-hour prior. Rev. Gary L. Feldman and Jeremiah Psinas will officiate. Burial will be at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Morton.
