MORTON – Jeanine P. Zobrist, 86, of Morton, went peacefully from her earthly life to her eternal heavenly inheritance, surrounded by her family, Friday evening, January 28, 2022, at her home.
She was born in Dent, Minn., on December 13, 1935, to Ernie and Luella (Hay) Pederson. She married the love of her life, Lloyd “Bud” Zobrist on her parents’ wedding anniversary, September 30, 1956. They celebrated over 63 years of marriage.
Jeanine is survived by one son, Jon (Teressa) Zobrist of Morton; three daughters, Jennie (Michael) Witzig, Ann (Todd) Bonham, both of Morton and Ellen (Kyle) Wilmert of Gretna, Neb. and one son-in-law, Mark Davis of Morton. She was blessed to have 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Susan (Ken) Faber of Cypress of CA, six sisters-in-law, Doris Brecher, Margaret Zobrist, Fern Zimmerman, Ruth Reinken, Nancy Zobrist, all of Morton and Dottie Zobrist of Gulf Shores, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Amy Davis; and two brothers, Bruce and Rodney Pederson.
Jeanine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passionately shared her love of the Lord. She sought daily to “Brighten the Corner” and “Count your Blessings”. Hallelujah!
Throughout her life, she joyfully served her family, neighbors and church family. She enjoyed sharing her chocolate cupcakes and making lefse with her children and grandchildren. She loved decorating and rearranging furniture and insisted on changing her bedroom arrangement the week of her passing. She loved her cabin in the Northwoods; seeing the diamonds on the lake; and breathing the northern air.
The family wishes to thank her heart care team of Dr. Best, Emily, Jamie and all the infusion nurses who cared for her the last five years.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, at Grace Church in Morton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, February 3, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service on Friday, both at the church. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
