Jessie Mitchell

MORTON - Jessie A. Mitchell, 91, of Morton, passed away on Tues., Nov. 6, 2018 at Heartland Healthcare Center - Riverview in East Peoria.
Jessie was born May 17, 1927, in Morton, to Walter and Mabel Rohlfing. She married Dr. John Mitchell on April 14, 1949, in Morton. After 53 years of marriage, he preceded Jessie in death on May 18, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Charles (Judy) Mitchell of Yorktown, Va.; one daughter, Julie Sobkowiak of Joliet, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jessie was a registered nurse and was an avid golfer.
She was a member of Morton United Methodist Church and was also a resident member of PEO.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.
