MORTON – Joseph S. “Joe” Stoller, 43, of Morton, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at his home after a 4 year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
He was born on April 17, 1978 in Peoria, Ill., to Keith and June (Morr) Stoller. He married Aoife Browning in Peoria, Ill. on April 6, 2011.
Surviving are his wife, Aoife Browning-Stoller of Morton; daughter, Maeve Stoller, at home; parents, Keith and June Stoller of Morton; siblings, Jamie (Dave) Troyer of Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., Jon (MacKenzie) Stoller of Groveland, Ill.; and nieces, Jen and Katy Troyer, and Maya and Rayne Stoller.
Joe was a graduate of Morton High School and Illinois Central College.
Joe completed his apprenticeship at IBEW 68 in Denver to become a Journeyman Electrician. He loved the mountains and snowboarding and lived in Colorado for 17 years, before returning to Morton in 2018.
Joe was also a musician and played guitar and drums in several bands. He had a passion for live music and was a huge fan of Ween, Grateful Dead and Phish. He especially loved his “Phriend” group.
Joe loved being a dad and scootering with his best bud, Maeve. He had a fierce love of family and the Lord.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton.
