MORTON - Keith A. Poshard, 83, of Morton, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Restmor, Inc. in Morton.
He was born October 12, 1935, in Peoria, to Herbert Marion and Frieda (Houlihan) Poshard. He married Deanna Matheny on April 6, 1963, in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Deanna Poshard of Morton; one daughter, Karen Poshard of Indianapolis, Ind.; one son, Drew (Denise) Poshard of Morton; and two grandchildren, Gil and Piper Poshard of Morton.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kirk, and two brothers and one sister.
Keith was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Keith worked in finance for Standard Oil in Chicago and Wabco in Peoria and retired as a loan officer after 17 years at Bank Plus in Morton, formerly known as Morton Federal.
Keith enjoyed singing and shared his talents with us through the Morton United Methodist Church Choir, Peoria Civic Choral, Mor-Tones and Barber Shop quartets/choruses. He was also a past president of Morton Rotary and served as the outbound coordinator for foreign exchange students.
Keith was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church in Morton. He was a Stephen's Minister at Peoria First United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Morton United Methodist Church in Morton, with Rev. Gary L. Feldman officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, where military honors will be conducted.
To all the loving hands and hearts at Apostolic Christian Restmor, thank you for the wonderful care given to Keith and our family. You kept him singing.
