LARRY L. CLUTTS
MORTON - Larry L. Clutts, 76, of Morton, passed away peacefully, Tues. June 27, 2017.
Larry was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Brooklyn, Ill., to Leonard and Dorothy (Pieper) Clutts. He married Barbara Hodges on Jan. 29, 1961 in Success, Ark.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Clutts of Morton, two daughters, Larijean (Barbar) Shanine of Shorewood, Ill., and Lisa (Prentiss) Carter of Glen Carbon, Ill.; four grandchildren, Leila (Emile) Ghantous, Nathaniel, Shannon, and Nicholas; and one great-grandson, Jeremiah. He is also survived by three sisters.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher.
After graduating from Abingdon High School in 1958, Larry attended Zach Monroe Barber School in Peoria, graduating in 1959.
On Aug. 13, 1968, Larry opened B & L Styling Center, in Marquette Heights, Ill., where he worked as a business owner and a barber, until retiring in 2000.
Larry always looked forward to spending time and making memories with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and was fond of reading.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor Josh Trueblood officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation and to OSF St. Francis Children's Hospital.
