Lois Scholfield

MORTON – Lois P. Scholfield, 84, of Morton, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Lois was born on July 24, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. to Roy and Wilda (Koble) Best. She married Keith Scholfield on February 25, 1967 in Peoria. Surviving are her husband, Keith Scholfield of Morton; one daughter, Susan (Patricia Ewert) Blake of Chicago; one son, David (Micheal Washington) Scholfield of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lois grew up in Peoria, and attended Woodruff High School, graduating in 1956. She had a group of childhood friends who would remain close for more than seventy years. 

Lois and her husband Keith moved to Morton in 1968 and lived there for 54 years. During that time, they raised their children and enjoyed their friends. Lois played bridge and tennis, and the friends she made engaging in those activities became her family. She worked as the right hand assistant to Marilyn Kohn at Re/Max for 25 years. During her golden years, Lois enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends.  

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
