LORETTA L. RUSH
DEER CREEK - Loretta L. Rush, 77 of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Deer Creek, Ill., passed away Fri., July 6, 2018 at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Fla.
Loretta was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Penn., to William and Loretta (Barker) Dowling. She was married to Orin Eugene Rush, Sr. for 45 years before he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2011.
Loretta is remembered and will be dearly missed by her son, Gene (Regenia) Rush of Brentwood, Tenn.; two daughters, Tina (Jesse) Mason of Pontiac, Ill., and Tammy (Donnie) Mathis of Crittenden, Ky.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Herky Dowling of Las Vegas, Nev., and two sisters, Laura Rademacher of Jackson, Miss., and Harriett Tarnowski of Las Vegas.
Loretta was an active member of New Life Baptist Church in Leesburg, where she met several friends and enjoyed spending time with her church family. She was a very caring person and especially compassionate about making mats for the homeless.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thurs., July 12, 2018, at Stumbaugh Cemetery in rural Deer Creek, IL., with Rev. Steve Evans officiating.
