MORTON – Marci Lee Tewksbury, 48, of Morton, ran to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Marci was born on March 28, 1974, in Lorain, Ohio, to Daniel and Deborah (Hanville) Page. She married Michael Tewksbury in Wilmington, Ohio, on January 14, 1995.
Marci is survived and dearly missed by her husband, Mike Tewksbury of Morton; four children, Lily, Dax, Finn and Juliet; her mother, Deborah Page of Wilmington, Ohio; brothers, Ryan (Carly) Page of Wilmington, Ohio and Dosh (Jessica) Page of Chesapeake, Va.; a gaggle of nieces and nephews: Kaylah, Alivia, Isobel, Bentley, Quinnlee, Titus, Boaz, Samson, Hudson, Ezra, Sawyer and Darby; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Marci’s heart belonged to her family and to Jesus. She was happiest surrounded by the noise and laughter of a full house, followed only by her time spent in quiet reflection and prayer. Marci spent her life following where Jesus pointed her. She was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church where she most recently served as the Family Ministries coordinator, however she had previously devoted many years to mentoring and loving on teens in the youth ministry. Having always enjoyed the joy and chaos of children, Marci began her lifelong work with kids as a preschool teacher in Ohio. After moving to Morton and while raising her children, she leapt into a position as a teacher’s aide at Lincoln Elementary School.
Marci was full of joy, and we will forever be thankful for the joy she brought to every place and person she touched.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Morton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bill Novak officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the church and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
A memorial fund for Marci’s children has been setup with CEFCU and checks may be made to “FBO Tewksbury Children”.
