PEORIA - Marcus R. Foster, 41, of Peoria, formerly of Morton, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Peoria.
He was born on August 16, 1980, in Peoria, Ill., to Eric and Chery (Park) Foster.
Surviving are his parents of Morton; two siblings, Amanda Swartzendruber of Bloomington, Ill. and Danielle Foster of Morton; maternal grandmother, Barbara Park of Morton; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Sara Ledgerwood of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Richard Park; paternal grandparents, Norman and Doris Foster; and uncles Mike, Steve and David Park.
Marcus was a tremendously kind and caring person who loved his family and friends and his cats. He also loved children and his family’s small dogs. He loved the Cubs and Bears and was overjoyed to see the Cubs win a World Series. He also loved fishing and spending time with his family in the Minnesota northwoods. He was a lifelong Star Wars and Star Trek fan. Marcus loved music and played bass guitar.
Marcus was deeply loved by his family and girlfriend and will be missed by all who knew him. He was taken from us far too soon.
The family is grateful for the caring and concern from Marcus’s friends and coworkers.
Marcus knew many of the homeless near his apartment in downtown Peoria so the family would ask that any donations be made to Peoria Rescue Ministries.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
