WASHINGTON - Margaret M. Pfeffinger, 99, of Washington, passed away Thur., Aug. 23, 2018, at Reflections Memory Care in Washington.
Margaret was born April 29, 1919, in Washington, to Mahlon, Sr. and Mable (Schick) Blumenshine. She married Edward Pfeffinger on Nov. 29, 1942, in Canton, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Mahlon Blumenshine, Jr.; and two sisters, Marie Marsh and Mildred Wind.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce (Wally) Schuck of Washington; one granddaughter, Gina (Steve) Harris of Saratoga, Calif.; and two great-granddaughters, Ryann Harris and Camden Harris.
Margaret and her husband farmed in the Eureka area. She raised between 500 - 1000 chickens a year and sold many eggs to businesses in the Peoria area.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington.
Margaret was a wonderful mom and grandmother who was loved by many. She enjoyed life and had a kind and generous spirit.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 24, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, followed by lunch and fellowship.
Memorials may be made to Vitas Community Connection for Hospice Care, or to Alzheimer's Association - Central IL Chapter.
