Marianne Gransky

MORTON – Marianne Gransky, 89, of Morton, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Marianne was born on November 23, 1932, in Milwaukee Wis., to Lazarus and Irma (Rose) Konrath. She married Roger Gransky on October 6, 1956, in Cudahy, Wis. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1997, in Peoria.

Marianne is survived by three daughters, Alicia (Tammy McGee) Gransky of Peoria, Cheryl (Kyle) Schimmelpfenning of Pekin and Laura (Joseph) Dorman of Springfield, Ill; three grandchildren, Kylie Schimmelpfenning and Kaitlyn and Jenna Dorman; sister-in-laws, Carol Gransky of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Arline Pozzo of Winsted, Conn.; and brother-in-law, Eugene (Lillian) Gransky of Middletown, Conn..

Marianne was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her three granddaughters, her cat Lindsey, and traveling. 

Marianne was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 with Msgr. Gerald Ward officiating. A private burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery in Morton. There will be no visitation.

Marianne’s daughters would like to give a special thank you to Vitas Healthcare for the compassion and care they showed to their mother.

Memorials may be made to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS), at 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
