Mary Ann Redhead

MORTON – Mary Ann Harris Redhead passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2021, in Morton, at the age of 56.

Mary Ann is survived by her father, Donald Harris of Morton; her husband, Gary Redhead of Morton; and her children, John Redhead of Millis, Mass. and Elizabeth Redhead of Chicago.
She is preceded in death by her mother, June Schneider Harris; and her brothers, Ronald and Donald Harris.
Mary Ann was born on December 26, 1964, in Chicago. She was raised by her parents in Morton and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1987. On February 20, 1993, she married Gary Redhead and gave birth to her two children, John and Elizabeth, on May 24, 1995 and April 28, 1998, respectively.
Mary Ann was a loving daughter, wife, and mother and an active member of her community. She enjoyed taking long walks around town on pleasant, sunny days and greeted everyone, friends or strangers, with kindness and joy. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and especially loved visiting her birth city of Chicago. She will leave a hole in the hearts of many and remain a model citizen, woman, and person in the eyes of all who knew her.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Pastor Tim Harkness officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., prior to service on Sunday at the funeral home.
