MACKINAW – Maxine Bolin, 70, of Mackinaw, Ill., passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, surrounded by family at her home.
She was born on August 3, 1951, in Whitleyville, Tenn., to Cavit and Lola (Jones) Hawkins. She married Daniel Bolin in 1968. He survives.
Also surviving are her four children, Doug Bolin of Mackinaw, Samantha (Wes Endres) Bolin of Minier, Ill., Chris (Kim) Bolin of Danvers, Ill., and Justin Bolin of Washington, Ill.; four grandchildren, Destin (Tia) Bolin, Dahlia Bolin, Emma Bolin, and Savana Bolin; and two great-grandchildren, Ensley and Harper Bolin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William, Jerry and Danny Hawkins; two sisters, Nancy Wage and Brenda Wall; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Bolin.
Maxine was a self-employed interior decorator for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Christian Union Church in Metamora. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Runner’s Association or Peoria Rescue Ministries.
