Orman J. Kaiser

Orman J. Kaiser, 101, of Morton, passed away Sat., April 21, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Restmor In Morton.
He was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Tremont, Ill., to Benjamin and Anna Plattner Kaiser. He married Kathryn Hauter on Feb. 13, 1943 in Boise, ID. They celebrated 75 years together.
Orman is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Morton; one daughter, Barbara (Steven) Pflederer of Tremont; three sons, Robert (Diana) Kaiser of Groveland, William (Augusta) Kaiser of New York City, NY and Steven (Margaret) Kaiser of Normal; 10 grandchildren, Susy (Gene) Turner, Ben (Sarah) Kaiser, Andy Kaiser, Allegra Kaiser, Marnie Kaiser, Francesca Kaiser, Stephanie (Ken) Ober, Joan (Austin) Parker, Nick Kaiser and Megan Kaiser and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Harold; five sisters, Marie Schock, Marge Kaufman, Elma Rinkenberger, Beulah Mueling and Anna Sommer.
Orman was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was a truck driver for R.A. Cullinan in Tremont for more than 30 years, retiring in 1981.
Orman enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He was a member of the Morton Apostolic Christian Church where his funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with church ministers officiating. Visitation will take place on Tues., April 24, from 4-7 p.m., at Knapp Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton and also on Wednesday, at the church, from 9-9:45 a.m.
Burial will be at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
