MORTON - Pamela K. "Pam" Stegmaier, 75, of Morton, passed away Sat., Sept. 8, 2018 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Pam was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Peoria, to Emil and Emma (Abel) Stegmaier.
Surviving are two nieces, Kelly (Ted) Goodhue of Pasadena, Md., and Kris (Ed) Jones of East Peoria; and two great nephews, Kramer Hedges of Fla., and Ian Hedges of N.M.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Mardell Lahne.
Pam worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 35 years. She was the first woman field representative for Caterpillar spending nine years as a district representative in the Southeast and the Northwest. She spent her entire career in service and product support related jobs.
Pam had many interests which included antiquing, gardening, photography, and painting her favorite flower, poppies. She also enjoyed golfing and playing the card games, Bridge and Canasta. Pam was especially fond of traveling. Throughout her lifetime she visited 47 countries and was always eager to learn about other cultures.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A visitation will be held Fri., Sept. 21, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Burial will be held at a later date at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
