Phillip A. Roecker

Phillip A. Roecker, 64, of Morton., passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at his residence.

Phill was born August 25, 1958, in Peoria, to Glenn and Sarah (Crews) Roecker.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda of Morton; son, Jacob of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Seth (Rebecca) Roecker of Lacon; sister, Cara (Mike) Hanson of Peoria and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Marie.

Phill worked for his father at Roecker’s Hardware Store in Morton in the 1970’s.  He went on to work for the Village of Morton, for 37 years, retiring in 2017 as superintendent of the waste water department. Following his retirement from the Village of Morton, Phill worked for We Care, Inc as a transportation driver.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1977-1980.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Knapp – Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremie Bridges officiating.  Visitation will take place from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022 and on Tuesday, from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton with full military rites conducted by the U.S. Marines.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, We Care, Inc, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
