Richard A. Ritthaler

GROVELAND - Richard A. Ritthaler, 84, of Groveland, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
Richard was born on January 10, 1935, to Amiel and Rose Martha (Klein) Ritthaler, in Groveland. He married Treva Gunden on May 14, 1965, in Bloomington. She survives. Richard is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the US Army and was stationed in Germany between WWII and the Korean War. Richard was a farmer throughout his entire life and was also a carpenter, working for Zobrist Construction and Stetzler Construction, for a total of 50 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A private graveside service will be held at later date, with Pastor Dean Ropp officiating.
