Rick Weasmer

MACKINAW – Rick K. Weasmer, 71, of Mackinaw, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on January 25, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, to Warren Keith and Geraldine (Malone) Weasmer. He married Chris Behnke in Pekin, Ill., on January 10, 1992.

Surviving are his wife, Chris Weasmer of Mackinaw; daughter, Jackie (Jim) Moss of Pekin; father, Warren Keith Weasmer of Davenport, Iowa; sister, Penny Turkle of Durant, Iowa; and nephews, Chris (Beth) Turkle of Davenport, Iowa, and Jeff (Pam) Turkle of Stockton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Rick worked in construction equipment sales and was employed by Martin Equipment when he retired.

Rick enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially to Isla Holbox, Mexico. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Rick was an animal lover and adored his pets.

Rick was a gracious donor through Gift of Hope.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
