MORTON - Robert E "Bob" Clark, 74, of Morton, passed away Tues., March 27, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend.
Bob was born May 12, 1943, in Pontiac, Mich., to Alma (Caldwell) and Cletus Clark. He married Lynne Barrows in Pekin on Oct. 24, 1964.
Surviving are his wife, Lynne of Morton; two daughters, Amy (Brian) Winkler, and Andrea (Mike Vrabel) Bailey, both of Morton; four grandchildren, Benjamin Robert Winkler, Andrew Brian Winkler, Sierra Nevada Bailey, and Brody Clark Bailey and brother-in-law, Lee Morr of Groveland. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patricia and Catherine.
Bob is a United States Army veteran. He served in Vietnam as a cook. Cooking was a lifelong passion that many enjoyed.
Bob worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 2003 as an IT Analyst. During his employment, he enjoyed participating in the Caterpillar Clown Club.
Bob was actively involved in many organizations and activities which include 4-H, Junior Achievement, Jefferson School PTO, and Morton High School Band Parents. He also looked forward to participating in the Briefcase Brigade group in the annual Louie Louie parade in Peoria.
Bob was an avid collector of American Flyer Trains and enjoyed doing so with his cousin and friend, Bill Clark. He could build anything and had a gift of creativity and planning things in great detail. Bob was always giving of his time and talents.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., March 31, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Pastor Barb Ziah officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Fri., March 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. and also from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service on Sat. Burial will be held at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton, where full military rites will be conducted.

Memorials may be made to Morton High School Band Parents 501(c)(3).

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Michael Veeder and the Illinois Cancer Care Center staff and volunteers, as well as OSF Hospice.
