RUBYE I. ROBINSON
PEORIA - Rubye Robinson, 85, of Peoria, formerly of Goodfield, passed away Thurs., Nov. 30, 2017 at Apostolic Christian Skylines Nursing Home in Peoria.
Rubye was born April 26, 1932, in Lewis Co., Tenn., to Lee and Mildred (Giles) Morgan. She married Harold Robinson on Dec. 29, 1951 in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1999. She is also preceded in death by her son Mark in 1964, three brothers, and a half-brother.
Surviving are three daughters, Deborah F.R. (Michael) Christman of Groveland, Pam (Gerald) Hunziker of Chickamauga, Ga., and Lisa (Michael) Gilles of Kickapoo; five grandsons, Reiner Hunziker, Jake Hunziker, Alan (Lindsay) Gilles, Nicholas Gilles and Adam Gilles; and three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Cassandra, Mackenzie Gilles. Also surviving is her half-brother William Thurman Morgan of Calif.
Rubye worked for Standard Oil in Goodfield from 1969 until her retirement in 1991 as a soil tester.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Goodfield and attended First Baptist Church in Morton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tues., Dec. 5, 2017, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Rubye's nephew, Ronald Robinson, will officiate. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Mon. Dec. 4. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Deer Creek.

Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Skylines Nursing Home in Peoria, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
