Sandra Miller

MACKINAW – Sandra L. Miller, 80, of Mackinaw, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 6, 1942, in Peoria, Ill., to Clifford and Gladys (Neal) Vaughn. She married David Miller on June 1, 1962, in Danvers, Ill. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Vaughn.

She is survived by her sons, Doug (Bev) Miller of Mackinaw, Matt (Christine) Miller of Mackinaw, Jason (Christine) Miller Deer Creek; sisters, Gloria Vaughn of Mackinaw and Anita Miller of Goodfield; brother, Dennis Vaughn of San Francisco, Cali.; sisters-in-law, Karen Vaughn of Kansas City, Kan., Sue (Dwain) Harmon of Collinsville, Ill., Carolyn Carter of Kingsland, Texas; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Susannah) Miller, Evan Miller, Zachary (Tirzah) Miller, Levi Miller, Ian Miller, Triniti Miller, Dakota (Ashley) Miller, Lexi (Shane) Miller-Richards and one great grandchild, Ellie Miller.

Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Sandy was a woman of faith whose love for the Lord was evident in how she lived her life. She enjoyed teaching God’s word, mentoring and serving others for the glory of God. Even through the trials of illness, Sandy’s faith remained strong and her example was an inspiration.

She was a member of New Castle Bible Church in Mackinaw, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, with Pastor Phil Somers and Pastor Dennis Schlappi officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church on Monday, July 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. and also from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at New Castle Bible Church Cemetery in Mackinaw.

Memorials may be made to New Castle Bible Church.
