Tony Knabe

PEORIA HEIGHTS – Anthony S. “Tony” Knabe, 59, of Peoria Heights passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his home due to natural causes.

He was born on March 30, 1964, in Peoria, to Larry E. and Lynn (Paluska) Knabe. He married Julie A. Stoltz on February 17, 2007, in Groveland. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2016.

Surviving are his mother, Lynn Paluska of Morton; father, Larry (Cheryl) Knabe of Hopewell, Ill.; brother, Timothy (Susan) Knabe of Chicago; stepbrother, Jason (Dawn) Lopeman of Soldotna, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.

Tony was a carpenter for Plum Creek Builders in Chillicothe, Ill. for 30 years.

A private graveside service will be held at Roberts Cemetery in Morton at a later date.

Memorials may be made to any VFW, Susan G. Komen or the charity of the donor’s choice.
