DEER CREEK - Tracee L. Killion, 63, of Deer Creek, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away Wed., Sept. 26, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
Tracee was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Peoria, to Jack L. and Alice L. (Jarrard) McCabe. She married Mark D. Killion on Aug. 27, 1972 in Chillicothe.
Surviving are her husband, Mark, of Deer Creek; four sons, Jason (Shannon) Killion of Morton, Ian Killion of Deer Creek, Jordan (Megan) Killion of Evansville, Ind., and Ryan Killion of Deer Creek; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Levi, Kyle, Kyra, and Evelyn Killion. She is also survived by one sister, Janea Gabel of Chillicothe, and one brother, John (Elena) McCabe of Palm Desert, Calif.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Tracee was currently working as a custodian for Deer Creek Mackinaw school district 701, where she began working in 2000.
Tracee was fond of gardening. She was actively involved in the community gardening club and also part of the City Beautiful Program in Chillicothe. Tracee also had a passion for antiques.
She enjoyed following and playing sports. Tracee was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and of the St. Louis Cardinals. She always looked forward to playing softball games in the Chillicothe women's league. Most of all, she found great joy in watching her grandchildren play sports.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 6, 2018, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
