Virginia Miller

MORTON – Virginia Miller, 98, of Morton, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at her home.

She was born on March 18, 1922, in Morton, Ill., to Edward and Salome (Bolliger) Getz. She married Yale Miller in Annapolis, Md., on June 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1995.

Surviving are one son, Edward (Jayne) Miller of Mequon, Wis.; one daughter, Sara “Sally” Miller of Morton; three granddaughters, Jamie (Marco) Gonzalez, Sara (Brad Baldwin) Miller, and Joni (Joel) Goldberg; and six, great-grandchildren, Sofia and Sebastian Gonzalez, Nora and Nico Baldwin, and Ilana and Lleyton Goldberg.

Virginia was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton and had been a member of the Methodist Hospital Service League.

A private graveside service will be held at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Morton, with Pastor Jeff Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton or TAPS.
