W. Neil Burk

TOLONO - W. Neil Burk, 85, of Tolono, Ill., formerly of East Peoria, passed away Fri. Feb. 16, 2018.
He was born on July 15, 1932, in Peoria, to Aaron and Ocal (Collins) Burk. He married Beverly Joy Plunkett on Dec. 30, 1955, in Bloomington, Ill.
Surviving are his wife, B. Joy Burk of Tolono, Ill.; one son, Dennis (Linda) Burk of Villa Grove, Ill.; one daughter, Marcy (Randy) Wikoff of New Mexico; three grandsons, Jason Parnham and Blake Parnham, both of Peoria and Clint (Sam) Underwood of Bloomington, Ill.; two sisters, Donna Ricca of Bartonville, Ill. and Lila Myers of Acworth, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Neil was a United States Army veteran.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. and also for WMBD radio and television as a chief engineer for many years.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family graveside service will be held at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
