William "Jeff" Williams

EAST PEORIA – William Jeffrey “Jeff” Williams, 61, of East Peoria, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:46 p.m., at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on December 9, 1960, In Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Joseph and Julia Ann (Beaty) Williams. He married Paula Little on May 11, 1990 at “small” gathering at his parents’ home in Morton.

Surviving are his wife, Paula Williams of East Peoria; his mother, Julia Ann Williams of Mesa, Arizona; brother, Robert Williams (his son, Ryan Williams, his daughter, Logan (Jacob) Vincent and their daughter Annabella); brother, Matt (Willa) Williams (his son, Joshua (Estie) Williams, son, Jordan (Krista) Williams); sister-in-law, Renee Williams (her son, Ty Williams); sister-in-law, Teresa Little Knapp (her daughter, Jessica Baer and her daughters, Elayna and Isabelle).  

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Joseph Williams and brother, Mark Williams.

Jeff graduated from Morton High School. After graduation, he went through training and an apprenticeship and earned the opportunity to be a journeyman sheet metal worker.

Jeff recently retired after 40 years of service with Sheet Metal Local Union 1 in Morton.

Per Jeff’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral, because in Jeff’s own words, “I don’t like crowds”.

For those that knew him well, enjoy his planned wishes! So much truth in this.

The family would like to thank East Peoria Police Department, East Peoria Fire and Rescue Department, OSF Emergency Department Staff, the Neurosurgical Team, and all of Jeff’s Neuro nursing team members. 

Memorials may be made to Gift of Hope or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
