MORTON – John E. Happe, 71, of Morton, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at his home.
He was born on September 6, 1949 in St. Paul, Minn., to Eugene (Margaret) Happe.
Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Happe of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and one son, Philip “Phil” Happe, Sr. of Bartonville; two grandchildren, Philip Happe, Jr. and Jaylynn Happe; two sisters, Cheryl (Bruno) Klaus of Stroudsburg, Penn., and Marjean Happe of Litchfield Park, Arizona; niece, Kara (Mark) Major; two nephews, Brent Klaus and Thomas (Pam) Happe-Horton, great-nephews, Zander and Ayden Happe-Horton, and great-niece, Zoey Happe-Horton.
John cherished his time spent with his grandchildren and being “Pop Pop”. He loved classic muscle cars, and watching Phil bowl in his bowling league. John enjoyed going to Florida to spend time with his sister, Cheryl and family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Social distancing guidelines will be observed during the visitation and masks are required.
