Obituary

MORTON – Timothy “Tim” D. Martin, 50, of Morton, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Ill, after a valiant two-year battle with sarcoma.

Tim was born on August 18, 1970, in Denver, Colo., to William Martin and Marianne (Paczak) Brubaker. 

Surviving are his son, Michael (Brittany) Brown of East Peoria; mother, Marianne (Don) Brubaker of Morton; grandchildren, Jackson and Lillian; brother, Scott (Dana) Martin of Bloomington; sister, Kim (Alan) Pearson of Nevada; and three nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Tim was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in the Rocky Mountains. He enjoyed fishing in his kayak and biking. 

He was a diehard fan of the Denver Broncos and St. Louis Cardinals.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A celebration of life tribute will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. A private family burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorials may be made to the OSF St. Francis College of Nursing Foundation, in the memo include: Timothy D. Martin Memorial Scholarship.
